What to expect

We understand that stepping into a new space can feel overwhelming

At Central, we all have our first time attending church, whether you’ve been going for as long as you can remember, or you’re new to the experience, we want it to be meaningful for you.

We understand that stepping into a new space can feel overwhelming, especially if you don’t know anyone or are unsure what to expect. But rest assured, our friendly stewards will greet you at the door with a warm “good morning” and hand you a service booklet that will guide you through the day. You’ll feel welcome from the moment you arrive!

You’re free to sit wherever you feel most comfortable. There’s a balcony for a more relaxed view or seats near the front if you’d like to be closer to the worship band and the action. Our services feature a mix of contemporary songs and traditional hymns, accompanied by everything from electric guitars and drums to the majestic sound of the pipe organ.

Each service includes Bible readings, a sermon where the minister or preacher might explore how faith relates to modern life, whether that’s addressing social issues or celebrating key moments in the Christian calendar, like Christmas.

On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate Holy Communion, sharing bread and wine as a reflection of Jesus’ love and self-giving. Prayer is an integral part of the service, and while there’s an opportunity to give an offering to support the church and those in need, it’s entirely voluntary.

We take important things seriously, like discussing life’s big questions, but we also love to laugh and share the joy of God’s message. Everyone is welcome, and we hope you leave feeling uplifted!
